Building Maintenance

Summary:  Responsible for coordinating and performing all of the facility maintenance activities necessary to install, repair and maintain facility, systems and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   
•Completes all facility maintenance and repair, including but not limited to HVAC equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, facility, structures, landscaping/grounds, parking lot, office and data systems, and all other facility related matters.
•Coordinates and/or completes regular, predictive and preventive maintenance on building and facility equipment, in accordance with operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and company procedures.
•Performs emergency maintenance activities to maintain facility; responds quickly and efficiently.
•Coordinates the contract services for facility, such as cleaning, snowplowing, shoveling, grounds keeping, etc.; performs custodial and facility maintenance tasks as necessary.
•Sustains facility infrastructure; acts as primary source of additional build out of electrical and data in the office and shop, as well as airline and manifold requirements; primary installer of additional lighting throughout the building; performs minor plumbing repairs and general floor cleaning.
•Maintains functionality of office related activities, such as data systems, desks and work stations.
•Coordinates and maintains the security of the building, including alarm response and security system.
•Maintains an efficient Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage all required equipment maintenance; accurately documents work performed in a timely fashion.
•Handles all of the environmental related issues; ensures compliance to regulations, maintains records, appropriately disposes of waste, maintains sanitation of facilities, etc.
•Ensures and supports company safety objectives by maintaining compliance with government regulations; provides technical support for safety projects; ensures that facility is in a safe, operable condition.
•Assists with other equipment and machine maintenance functions as needed, including plant layout.
•Encourages and contributes to a positive work environment and culture through effective communication, coaching, teamwork and leadership.
•Supports continuous improvement efforts; makes or recommends equipment and/or process modifications to improve quality and/or efficiency.
•Accurately completes production and quality documents.
•Maintains a professional working relationship and effectively communicates with all employees, managers, vendors, customers and regulatory agencies.
•Understands, complies with and supports company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and safety regulations/initiatives.
•Regular attendance at work is required.
•Performs other production assignments as necessary.
•Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years of related maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Journeyman’s Certification or Licensed in the state of Wisconsin as an Electrician preferred but not required.
•Requires knowledge of government compliance regulations including OSHA, Electrical Codes, Building Codes, Fire Codes, etc.
