Inventory - Order Fulfillment

Summary:   Responsible for gathering components into pre-assembled instrument kits, retrieving the necessary certification for components, and maintaining WIP cards, as well as shipping and receiving functions.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • Gathers, counts and records the use of components based on a pick list (Bill of Materials - BOM) with intent to fill both final and subassembly kits.
  • Investigates shortages of components.
  • Assists with expediting parts by moving components, subassemblies and final kits to locations throughout the plant.
  • Gathers necessary paperwork (certs) for internal operations and those to be provided to customers in preparation for shipment
  • Puts away stock.
  • Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock; investigates discrepancies and adjusts errors.
  • Prints and distributes in-house work orders.
  • Conducts cycle counts on inventory items.
  • Verifies quantity of incoming orders/materials and that required documentation has been provided; signs documents to accepting materials; labels incoming product and stores materials/parts in proper locations.
  • Performs receipt transaction in MRP system.
  • Cleans and carefully packages instruments/materials to prevent damage.
  • Prepares documents for shipping.
  • Presents parcels to shipping area.
  • Operates lift-truck and aerial work platform as needed to store/remove product.
  • Performs other production assignments as necessary.
  • Maintains a professional working relationship and effectively communicates with all employees, managers, vendors, customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Understands and complies with company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and safety regulations.
  • Regular attendance at work is required.

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
