Document Control Specialist

Summary:  Distributes, collects and maintains all documents necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes that ensure conformance to customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • Manages the operation of the document control center to ensure that all users have appropriate documentation necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes.
  • Accurately maintains a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained as required in the document control center.
  • Distributes the latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensures that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution, within applicable timeframe.
  • Ensures accuracy of packet documents after production.
  • Performs clerical data entry functions to generate documents as necessary.
  • Performs duties as defined in division document control policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a professional working relationship and effectively communicates with all employees, managers, vendors, customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Understands and complies with company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and safety regulations.
  • Regular attendance at work is required.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires excellent computer skills; attention to detail; reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
