Assembler

Summary:   Responsible for accurately assembling components to meet production specifications and quality requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • Physically assembles components into final instrument assemblies.
  • Performs in-process verification of form/fit/function of assembled components.
  • Interprets instructions and uses precision measuring instruments to ensure assemblies meet customer and quality specifications.
  • Mixes adhesives per specifications to aid in assembly.
  • Disassembles instruments to recalibrate and re-assemble or to aid in root cause analyses.
  • Operates torque recording devices to verify torque assemblies meet specifications.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Accurately completes production and quality documents.
  • Maintains a professional working relationship and effectively communicates with all employees, managers, vendors, customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Understands, complies with and supports company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and safety regulations/initiatives.
  • Regular attendance at work is required.
  • Performs other production assignments as necessary.

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
