Sales and Marketing Manager

Summary:  Accomplishes business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, implementing sales plans and managing staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine and formulate sales and marketing objectives, policies and sales programs designed to achieve maximum volume and profitable operation.
  • Direct and participate in developing, establishing, motivating and training an effective sales force to market company products.
  • Coordinate matters of mutual concern with related staff services such as Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing department while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals. Establish performance goals for all sales and marketing employees and monitor performance on a continual basis. Oversee all hiring, training and dismissal of personnel involved in Sales and Marketing.
  • Represents Company at industry trade shows, conferences and vendor fairs and generate new sales and customers.
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials and events.
  • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Handles inquires and complaints; provide advertising material, price lists and estimates, application and other services as required.
  • Develop promotional materials to include videos, brochures and mailings.

Qualifications:

  • The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Requires previous management experience.
